Made from Italian, organic, sweet and vine-ripened tomatoes only, our Whole Fruit passata uses the entire fruit – skin, seeds and all - to create a rich depth of flavour and to maximise its nutritional benefit. No additives are needed, and its takes less than 24 hours from vine to jar, a speedy process to maintain the best flavour and texture. Although enjoyed most often as if they are a vegetable, tomatoes are actually a fruit and in this passata, provide a useful source of fibre. Including passata in our meals can help us to achieve the 30g fibre we are recommended to consume daily. Their vibrant, red colour is due to their carotenoid content. One of the main carotenoids in tomatoes is Lycopene.
